Welcome to the BEES Lab

The BEES Lab aims to generate knowledge of behavior and education support needs, access, feasibility, and effectiveness. We are interested in deepening our understanding of behavioral and educational services in various cultures and finding ways to ameliorate access to support among diverse individuals. Our projects explore school behavior intervention and consultation, behavior intervention self-efficacy, risk assessment, crisis assessment and intervention, and access to support in educational settings.

Behavior intervention self-efficacy among PreK-12 school staffs

Teacher self-efficacy refers to teachers' subjective sense of preparedness to successfully instruct their students. Classroom instructions involve not only teaching of contents but also behavior management, which is a separate set of skills. We are interested in measuring behavior intervention self-efficacy separate from other teaching skills to better inform consultative work.
